A set of tools have been reported stolen from Radipole Rabbit Rescue in Weymouth after a burglary at their garage.

The incident occurred on Thursday, and the stolen items included lime green Ryobi power tools, according to the centre.

The rescue centre said police initially declined to investigate further, citing the garage being an outbuilding and not attached to a home.

However, Dorset Police said it is "continuing to explore available lines of inquiry”.

The tools are described as part of the lime green Ryobi range, and the rescue has appealed for help to locate them.

Radipole Rabbit Rescue noted that no one was hurt during the burglary and that all their rabbits are safe.

The centre has requested anyone with information to contact them or Dorset Police.

In a statement, the force said: "We received a report at 11.34pm on Thursday 18 December 2025 of a break-in that had occurred sometime after 3.30pm that afternoon in Mount Pleasant Avenue in Weymouth.

"It was reported that a quantity of tools had been stolen from an outbuilding. Officers are continuing to investigate the incident and explore available lines of enquiry. No arrests have been made."
