Two arrested after suspected stabbing in Dorset

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after a reported stabbing in Sturminster Newton.
Emergency services were called to an address in Stourcastle on Tuesday 30th September.
A man was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening stab wounds.
It's also reported that a woman was assaulted but not seriously injured.
An 18-year-old man and 53-year-old woman are in police custody.
A Dorset police spokesperson said "Dorset Police received a report at 4.54pm on Tuesday 30 September 2025 that a man had sustained suspected stab wounds following a reported assault at an address in Stourcastle in Sturminster Newton.
"It was further reported that a woman had also been assaulted at the address, but had not sustained any serious injuries.
"Emergency services attended and the male victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening.
"Following fast time enquiries, officers have arrested an 18-year-old man from Sturminster Newton on suspicion of attempted murder and a 53-year-old woman, also of Sturminster Newton, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder."
