Police appeal after man in his 70s seriously injured in crash in Wareham

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Wareham.

Officers were called to a report at 11:47am on Wednesday 1 July 2026 of a collision involving a silver Toyota Verso and a pedestrian in North Street.

The pedestrian - a man in his 70s - was taken to hospital with injuries believed to be serious but not life-threatening.

Police Constable Tom Ringer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and from our enquiries it is clear there were a number of people present who may have witnessed the incident.

“I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, as well as anyone with relevant dashcam footage, to please make contact with us.”
