Travel disruption expected in Devon due to town centre route closer

Sewer system works on a route just outside the centre of a Devon town could close the road for more than a week.
Routine maintenance by South West Water revealed an issue that needed rectifying, and now the firm has opted to install a new manhole on Park Street.
The works mean the road is closed in both directions, with signs warning drivers that there is also no access to Barrington Street.
A spokesperson from South West Water said: "Park Street is planned to be closed until Monday 8 September, with pedestrian access maintained."
