Two-ferry service resumes on Tamar Crossings with improved schedule

Until further notice, ferries will depart every 15 minutes

In a bid to enhance service, Tamar Crossings has announced the resumption of a two-ferry service on the river, operational every day from 6:30am to 9:45pm.

This service improvement results in a ferry leaving from both sides of the river every 15 minutes, allowing for greater frequency and potentially reduced waiting times.

Though the new schedule aims for consistent service, Tamar Crossings has advised passengers to remain aware of potential delays caused by emergency vehicles, slow loading and unloading, or unexpected vehicle breakdowns.

Behind this achievement is an extensive collaborative effort by Tamar Crossings' operational and engineering teams as well as specialist contractors, who expedited the IPMS upgrade process on Tamar II, completing it one week earlier than planned and finalising all necessary checks.

For live updates on queue times and ferry operations, passengers are encouraged to visit the Tamar Crossings website at www.tamarcrossings.org.uk .

Further information regarding Lynher II’s fault and updates on the third vessel's return will be provided by Tamar Crossings in the future.
