A serving Devon and Cornwall police officer has been charged with sexual assault.
Temporary Superintendent Jim Saunders, aged 48, from East Cornwall, is charged with one count of sexual assault by touching.
He is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates Court tomorrow (30 September).
A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said Temporary Superintendent Saunders is currently suspended from the force.
