Police believe they've found the body of a second swimmer who disappeared on Christmas Day.

Emergency services were called to Exmouth Beach on Sunday afternoon following a sighting.

It's thought to be Matthew Upham - but Devon and Cornwall Police say formal identification is yet to take place.

The body of a 47-year-old man who also went missing was discovered on Wednesday.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Emergency services were called shortly before 3pm on Sunday 25 January to Exmouth Beach following a report of a possible body seen near the shore.

"The body of a man has since been recovered. Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of a 64-year-old man from Budleigh Salterton have been informed of this development."
