Police investigate fatal collision near South Molton
It happened yesterday
Police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision, near South Molton, at the weekend and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
At around 4.55pm on Sunday 4 October, officers were notified of a two-vehicle collision on the B3227 at Nadder Lane, near South Molton, involving a blue BMW S1000 motorbike and a green John Deere tractor.
The rider of the motorcycle, a local man in his 20s, was declared deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the tractor was uninjured and remained at the scene, to assist police with their inquiries.
Specialist and local officers attended the scene and conducted an initial investigation; the road was closed for several hours, while the investigation took place.
It re-opened around 7am on Monday 5 October.
