Man arrested on suspicion of Plymouth acid attack

Police continue to investigate the serious assault which happened on Friday 21st February.

Detectives investigating an acid attack in Plymouth have carried out an arrest in London.

A 25-year-old man from London was been arrested on Tuesday (4th March) on suspicion of attempted murder and is in police custody.

Police continue to investigate the serious assault which happened on Friday 21st February.

Officers were called to a property on Lipson Road at around 3.55am following reports of a disturbance at the address.

The victim- a man in his 30s- remains in a serious condition in hospital.

Detective Superintendent Ben Davies said: “I would like to thank the local community and wider public for their support and patience while we have been carrying out our enquiries into the incident.

“As part of our ongoing enquiries, we’re keen to hear from anyone who has relevant information about the incident or those involved.

“Anybody who has yet to speak to police who may have information or CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101 or via our website quoting log 69 of 21 February.”
