Fire at school in Totnes being treated as arson

Police have said a fire which destroyed a building at school in Totnes is being treated as arson.

Officers were called by the fire service to the King Edward VI College on Ashburton Road at around 12:50am on Sunday (April 12).

The fire service tackled a blaze in a temporary building and were on the scene for around four hours.

Devon and Cornwall Police said damage was also caused to a cargo container nearby and no injuries were reported.

The force is urging anyone who saw or heard anything suspcious to contact them.
