Police have arrested a 13 year old boy following a fire at a night club in Plymouth.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to reports of a fire on Union Street at about 16:30 Saturday (1 March).

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said:

Officers are investigating a suspected arson at a derelict property on Union Street, Plymouth. Police were called at around 4.30pm to reports of a fire on Saturday 1 March. Officers attended to assist with road closures. Police are investigating and treating the fire as suspected arson.

A boy aged under 16 has since been arrested on suspicion of arson with recklessness as to whether life was endangered. He’s been released under investigation.

Enquiries are ongoing.
