Fire crews were called at 10.37pm on Tuesday (26 August) to Mill Street Common in Torrington where an initial tree fire at the rear of a property had spread to nearby gorse.
The fire was extinguished at 4.10am Wednesday morning.
Approximately 200m by 80m of gorse and trees were involved in fire and crews used five hose reel jets, two 45mm jets, breathing apparatus and thermal imaging cameras to bring the fire under control and prevent from spreading further.
The last crew arrived on scene at 6.24am to dampen down any remaining hotspots and liaise with the National Grid due to potential fire damage to powerlines.
