Man charged with resisting and assaulting emergency worker in Whitehaven

He has been charged with a number offences including common assault

A man has been charged with assaulting an emergency worker, escaping custody, and other offences in Whitehaven.

37-year-old Krys Ritson was arrested on 17th February after an incident on Windermere Road, Whitehaven.

He's appearing at Carlisle Magistrates' Court today (19th February) charged with:

  • Common assault
  • Resisting a constable in the execution of duty
  • Escape from lawful custody
  • Criminal damage
  • Assault by beating of an emergency worker
