Two people arrested after knifepoint burglary in Workington

Two people have been arrested following an incident in Workington overnight.
Police were called at around 11pm on Saturday (4 October) to an address on Windsor Road, with reports entry had been forced by two people in possession of a knife.
No injuries were caused but threats were made.
A man and a woman - both in their twenties - were subsequently arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary. They remain in custody.
Firearms officers were deployed as part of the response.
Cumbria Police said there was no wider risk to the public and have thanked the local community who were affected for their patience and understanding.
