Investigations continue into sudden death of woman in Carlisle
Police say they're investigating all possible circumstances
Police are continuing to investigate the sudden death of a woman in Carlisle.
They say they're looking into the possibility that her injuries were self-inflicted.
Emergency services were called to Whinlatter Way just after 11.20pm on 2 August after welfare concerns were reported.
61 year-old Susan Watson was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 60s was arrested in connection with the investigation but has since been released on bail.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said "As part of ongoing enquiries, officers are investigating all possible circumstances surrounding how the injuries were sustained, including whether they may have been self-inflicted.
"Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of the deceased, and we would respectfully ask that their privacy is respected as they come to terms with their loss.
"We would also ask that people act with consideration and respect at this difficult time and refrain from speculation, as this can cause additional distress to those affected by this tragedy while enquiries remain ongoing."
