Police launch witness appeal following fatal Ambleside collision
A man in his 70s died as a result of the collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision took place in Ambleside yesterday afternoon.
Shortly before 4.30pm, emergency services were called to Lake Road in Ambleside after a collision had took place between a HGV and a pedestrian.
The air ambulance was called to the scene but the pedestrian, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead.
Road closures remained overnight but that now been lifted this morning.
