Man charged after fatal motorbike collision on Ennerdale Road
Court appearance follows the tragic death of a 76-year-old woman
A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal road traffic collision in Cleator Moor.
The collision occurred on Ennerdale Road at around 4:25pm on 26th May when a motorbike struck a woman and her grandchild.
Gillian Livingstone, 76, sadly lost her life at the scene, while the child remains in hospital in a stable condition with a serious head injury.
Kieran Yorke, a 22-year-old from Woodend, Egremont, is set to appear at Workington Magistrates’ Court today, 28th May.
Two other men, aged 22 and 23, have been released on bail as further investigations continue.
Police are appealing for information and ask anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage to assist the investigation.
