Snowfall has caused part of the A66 to close both ways between the A67 near Bowes in County Durham and the A685 near Brough in Cumbria.

The road closed at around 7am this morning (13th February), but is now open again.

National Highways teams were using winter treatment vehicles to clear the carriageway.

Cumbria Police were also on scene to help clear traffic.
