Police are asking for witnesses after a crash and disorder on a Coventry road.

Officers were called to the junction of Beake Avenue and Parkgate Road just after 8PM on Saturday night, where two men were arrested on suspicion of stealing a car and drug offences.

The men aged 44 and 41 have been released on bail while investigations continue.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision and disorder on a Coventry road.

"Officers were called to reports of a collision at the junction of Beake Avenue and Parkgate Road, shortly after 8.05pm on Saturday (29 Nov).

"A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, possession of Class A and possession of Class B drugs.

"A further man aged 41, was also arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle.

"Both men have been bailed with conditions while our enquiries into what happened continue.

"We would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened, or has any dashcam to come forward and speak to us.

"Anyone with any information is asked to call us on 101, quoting incident number 4034 of 29 November, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
