Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire is distributing 300 winter packs to older people in the region to help them stay warm and safe during the colder months.

The packs include winter essentials such as blankets, hats, gloves, and other practical items to assist those living in or at risk of fuel poverty as well as informative leaflets.

Funded by Coventry Building Society, the initiative aims to provide comfort and reassurance while tackling challenges associated with energy costs and health vulnerabilities during winter.

“We are extremely grateful to Coventry Building Society for funding these packs,” said Reece Mclarnon, Director of Services at Age UK Coventry and Warwickshire.

“They make a real difference in helping older people cope with the cold months ahead.

"No one should have to choose between heating their home and other essentials.”

The packs will be distributed with the help of local volunteers and Age UK staff to ensure those most in need receive support.

The effort is part of the charity’s wider winter health campaign, which focuses on assisting older members of the community throughout the season.
