Two women charged in connection with Nuneaton incident

Two women from Nuneaton are set to appear in court following an incident in the town in August.

Amy Palmer, 30, of Dugdale Street, and Annette Cook, 43, of Cross Street, were charged with causing racially/religiously aggravated harassment/alarm/distress by words/writing and using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

It comes after an investigation by police into an interaction between several members of the public that was widely shared on social media and in the news.

The pair are on bail to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 5 November.
