Teenage boy charged after multiple burglaries in Warwick

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward

A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with several burglaries that occurred in Warwick over the weekend.

Police arrested the teenager in the early hours of Sunday morning (January 25) and he has been charged with two counts of burglary dwelling and theft, one count of theft of a motor vehicle, and one count of other theft, including theft by finding.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear at Coventry Youth Court today (Monday).

The offences reportedly took place in areas surrounding the racecourse, Heathcote, and Emscote Road.

Investigations into further incidents in the town are ongoing and officers are urging anyone with information to contact them through the police website or by calling 101.
