A suspected cannabis farm has been uncovered at an empty house in Coventry.

Police found more than one hundred plants after being called to Dillotford Avenue earlier this week - to reports of a burglary.

Three men aged 40, 28 and 25 were arrested and later bailed.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said: "We arrested three men after officers discovered a suspected cannabis farm at a vacant property on Dillotford Avenue, Coventry.

"Shortly after 8am yesterday (Tues) morning, we were initially called to reports of a burglary at the property.

"On arrival officers discovered over 100 cannabis plants and arrested three men.

"The men, aged 40, 28 and 25, were taken into custody on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a controlled drug – Class B Cannabis.

"They have since been bailed as our enquiries continue.

"Anyone with any information is being urged to ring us on 101 quoting crime number 20/205135/26. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
