A second man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the disappearance of a woman from Nuneaton.

Katie Love was reported missing to Warwickshire Police last Monday (February 23rd).

The case is being investigated by the force's major crime team, who say they are increasingly concerned she may have come to harm.

Yesterday (Monday), police arrested a 48-year-old man from Nuneaton on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody.

It follows the arrest of a 49-year-old man from Nuneaton on suspicion of murder on Friday (February 26).

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Last weekend Warwickshire Police shared an appeal asking for information about a silver Peugeot 206, which officers believed was linked to her disappearance.

The force said it then received a call and was able to find the car but 48-year-old Katie remains missing.

Officers are carrying out searches, speaking to Katie's family and friends, and will be looking at CCTV footage from the area.

Police say Katie has connections to Skegness, but is known across Nuneaton, Harthill and Kingsbury as well.

Detective Inspector Gareth Unett, who is leading the investigation into Katie’s disappearance, said: “First of all, we want to reassure the community we’re doing everything we can to try and find Katie safe and well.

“Sadly, given the length of time that has passed, we’re also considering the possibility she may have come to harm.

“We’d like to thank everyone who shared our appeal at the weekend and helped us locate the car.

“Understandably, Katie’s family really want to find her, and we’re keeping them updated as the investigation progresses, so please keep sharing our appeals and if you know anything, contact us as soon as possible.“

Anyone with information about Katie's disappearance is being urged to contact the police.
