Five men to appear in Warwickshire court over alleged meth lab
The suspects are accused of conspiring to produce methamphetamine on remote farmland
Five Mexican men are set to appear at Warwickshire Crown Court today (10 September), facing charges related to the alleged production of methamphetamine following an investigation by the National Crime Agency (NCA).
The individuals were arrested on 13th August and initially appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court, where they were remanded in custody. They are charged with conspiracy to produce methamphetamine, a Class A drug.
The defendants include Alejandro Ambriz Dimas, 45, from Michoacan in southern Mexico, and Victora Ramirez, 47, Fausto Beltran, 33, Lioncio Moso Borja, 37, and Jose Nunez Angolo, 44, all from Culiacan, in the Sinaloa region of north west Mexico.
Authorities allege that the men were part of a criminal group manufacturing the drug at a meth lab located on remote farmland near Furnace End in Warwickshire.
The NCA's action at the site was supported by multi-agency partners including Warwickshire Police, West Midlands Fire Service, and West Midlands Ambulance Service, which provided standby assistance.
The case highlights ongoing efforts to tackle serious and organised crime in the region.
