Man seriously injured in Leamington assault

Police are investigating an assault in Leamington which left a man seriously injured.
At around 1pm on Wednesday (9 September), officers were called to a report that a man had been attacked in the Princes Drive area.
The man suffered a serious wound to his face after reportedly being approached by another man in possession of a knife.
He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The victim has described the suspect as: "Mixed heritage, around five feet tall, clean shaved, carrying a man bag."
