Police say the victim remains in a critical condition in hospital

A man has been seriously injured after an assault outside at a pub in Coventry.

Police were called to a Allesley Old Road, Coventry just before 9.10pm on Saturday evening (December 6).

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in a critical condition.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

West Midlands Police are asking for the public’s help as part of their investigation.

Detective Inspector Sherrie Kimberley from Coventry CID said: “We know there were a lot of people inside and outside the pub that may have seen what happened. We want to hear from you, if we haven’t already.

“If you were driving on Allesley Old Road and have dash cam footage from the incident, please contact us.”
