A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted kidnap after an incident in Coventry.

Police launched an investigation after an attempted kidnap on The Mount in Coventry on Monday (February 9th).

A suspect attempted to drag a man into a property, but the man managed to flee.

Officers attended and a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted kidnap.

He has since been charged with attempt kidnap and criminal damage and was remanded to appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (11 Feb).

Police have released images of two men they would like to identify as potential victims.

Police say their enquiries are ongoing into what happened and after CCTV work a further potential victim has been identified.

They were crossing the Queen Isabels Avenue junction at 12.30pm.

He then attempts to walk past a suspect who was stood outside a property on The Mount and a suspect then appears to pull a suspected weapon from his waistband.

The second victim is seen to jump backwards and run away.

Anyone who recognises them, has any CCTV footage, or was driving along The Mount at the junction of Queen Isabels Avenue and has dashcam footage is asked to conact West Midlands Police.
