Man arrested as bridge crash causes hours of disruption for train passengers

A man has been arrested after a bridge crash caused hours of disruption for train passengers yesterday - and continues to early this afternoon (12/06).
Warwickshire Police have confirmed a 64-year-old is now in custody following the incident at 3.30pm.
National Rail say things should start getting back to normal over the next few hours.

In a statement, Warwickshire Police said: "At 3:30pm on 11 June, we responded to reports of a railway bridge collapse on Marston Lane, Bedworth.
"Train routes over the bridge were stopped by National Rail while the incident was handled.
"Following an alleged collision between the driver of a lorry and the bridge, the driver left the scene without reporting the collision.
"At 5:10pm, a 64-year-old man from Coventry was arrested for endangering a railway passenger and failure to stop following a collision."
