Investigation launched after man dies in Coventry
An investigation has been launched after a man found with serious injuries in Clayton Road, Coventry, yesterday evening (Saturday) died.
Officers attended at just after 8.10pm after being alerted by ambulance colleagues. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, the man, aged 63, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His family is being supported at this devastating time.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact circumstances. A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and drink-driving.
Investigations remain at an early stage, with door-to-door enquiries and a review of CCTV footage continuing today.
