Family pay tribute to woman killed after Coventry collision

78-year-old Barbara Howard died after a car hit her house following a collision with another vehicle.

The family of Barbara Howard who died following a collision in Coventry have paid tribute to her, describing her as 'caring, sharing and stunning'.

The 78-year-old died after a car crashed into her home just before 5pm last Thursday.

Police say the Jaguar had collided with a VW van at the junction of Shilton Lane and Lentons Lane, before hitting the house.

At the time of the collision, Barbara was inside the house and she was afterwards taken to hospital where she later died.

Specialist police officers are currently supporting Barbara's family.

Barbara's family have released a statement that pays tribute to her:

"Caring, sharing, glamorous, and stunning, someone who loved life.”

"Dancing mother of Debbie and Julie, our best friend was taken in the most horrific way. "

"We love her to the moon and back."

Police are continuing their investigation into the collision. The drivers of both vehicles involved were spoken to at the scene. Officers would like anyone with CCTV or dashcam video from around the area at the time to come forward.
