A yellow heat health alert has been issued to the West Midlands for this weekend, as temperatures are expected to soar again.
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) issued the warning from 12pm tomorrow (27 July) until 6pm on Tuesday (1 July).
Temperatures in the West Midlands are reaching into the late 20s over the weekend, with the Met Office forecasting 31 degrees in Birmingham on Monday (30 June), 32 degrees in Coventry, and 30 degrees in Wolverhampton.
The UKHSA said an amber alert is issued when "significant impacts" are possible across health and social services due to the heat. It warned of a rise in deaths among over-65s or in those with health conditions.
