Thirty new Hate Reporting Points have been launched across Warwickshire to help people affected by hate crime report incidents and access support.

The project has been developed by equality charity EQuIP in partnership with Warwickshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner.

It comes as the charity says it received 640 hate crime reports in the first five months of 2026, with 66% relating to race hate.

The reporting points are based in trusted community, faith and voluntary organisations to provide safe and accessible reporting locations for anyone who may be affected by hate.

These are spread across the county, with two in North Warwickshire, nine in Nuneaton and Bedworth, seven in Rugby, seven in Warwick and five in Stratford local authority areas.

Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Seccombe said: “These hate reporting points are not just places to share what has happened. They are a visible reminder that support is available, that people will be listened to, and that no one should feel they have to face hate alone.

“Together, we can continue to build a Warwickshire where everyone feels safe, respected and able to be themselves.”

Junaid Hussain, Chief Executive of EQuIP said: “Too many people who experience hate still do not feel confident or comfortable reporting what has happened to them.

"The Hate Reporting Points bring support closer to communities, providing trusted and accessible places where people can speak to someone, be listened to and receive appropriate support with reporting hate.

“By working with community, faith and voluntary organisations across Warwickshire, we are helping to remove barriers to reporting, improve our understanding of hate within our communities and send a clear message that hate has no place in Warwickshire.”
