Autonomous vehicle company Aurrigo International plc is moving to a new UK hub at Power Park in Coventry, where it will design and manufacture driverless vehicles and autonomous robotics systems used in airports and transport operations.

The 130,000 sq ft facility will be used for engineering, testing and high-volume production of its autonomous platforms, which help move baggage, cargo and passengers without a human driver.

It is expected to produce more than 500 vehicles a year at full capacity, supporting the firm’s plans to scale its technology globally.

Prof. David Keene MBE, Chief Executive Officer of Aurrigo International plc, said: “This new Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Centre marks an important milestone for our business.

“It significantly enhances our manufacturing and engineering capability, provides the capacity to scale in line with demand, and underpins our ambition for long-term growth.”
