Eight men have been charged after city-centre fight

Police have charged eight people after disorder in Coventry city centre.

There was fighting on Primrose Hill Street at around 11.30pm on 31 May.

One man, in his 20s, was found with stab injuries which weren't serious.

The eight men - aged between 18 and 21 - have been charged with affray, while a 17-year-old boy has been released on bail while enquiries continue.

The men charged are:

  • Joseph Disasi, aged 20 of no fixed address
  • Adil Hijazi, 18, from Liverpool
  • Siyaad Yaabarag, 20, of no fixed address
  • Tyree Lieng, 21, from Bedworth
  • Wesley Osunde, 18, from Coventry
  • Issa Kasim, 20, from Coventry
  • Elhoussaine Aboushahba, 19, from Coventry
  • Issa Aboushahba, 21, from Coventry

They are all due to appear before Warwick Crown Court on 1 July.
