Coventry's iconic Godiva Festival has returned to the War Memorial Park for another year from the 4th to the 6th of July.

The festival is set to attract tens of thousands of festival-goers this year as big acts such as Clean Bandit, Heather Small and Ocean Colour Scene are set to headline the main stage this weekend.

Not only is the Godiva Festival hosting big artists this weekend but local talent are also sharing the limelight alongside a range of family fun activities.

Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for events at Coventry City Council, Cllr Abdul Salam Khan, said: “ This year’s line-up sees international superstars taking to our stages at the War Memorial Park in Coventry alongside some of the city’s up and coming finest musical talent.

“As always, our line-up is diverse and covers a broad range of genres.

"We have something for everyone - there’s music, performers, activities and outdoor entertainment."

Businesses and the visitor economy in Coventry are also set for a major boost as Godiva Festival returns for a 26th edition this weekend.

New figures have revealed that the city’s premier cultural event injected £1.67 million into the local and regional economy last year – with tens of thousands of people attending the festival and visitors spending additional cash with Coventry businesses.

Paul McMahon, Managing Director of Visit Coventry, said: “Godiva Festival continues to be a catalyst for cultural and economic activity in Coventry.

"It’s a flagship event for the city and it’s fantastic to see the impact it is having beyond the festival gates."
