Coventry is gearing up for a significant economic boost as Take That prepares to perform at the Coventry Building Society Arena early next month.

Over three consecutive nights from 4th June to 6th June, the iconic band is expected to draw more than 100,000 fans to the stadium as part of 'The Circus Live' UK stadium tour.

The influx of visitors is anticipated to greatly benefit the local economy, echoing last year’s successes.

The Arena reported over £3 million of economic impact from its live events in the previous year, which included sell-out performances by stars like Ed Sheeran, Bob Dylan, and Tom Grennan.

Local businesses are already feeling the positive effects ahead of the shows.

Hotels such as the Telegraph Hotel have reported full occupancy, while other venues like The Yard are planning special activities including Take That-themed events.

The nearby Ramada Hotel and Ibis Coventry Centre have also launched promotional packages and themed bars for the concert weekend.

Paul Michael, Managing Director at Coventry Building Society Arena, emphasised the economic significance of hosting major events, saying: “We all know the value of bringing major events to this city, both in terms of profile but also in terms of economic impact for businesses across Coventry and Warwickshire.

“Coventry Building Society Arena was built to bring events of this scale to the city, it was one of our founding goals 20 years ago and something we continue to deliver on today.

“We will be speaking to venues and businesses across the city following the shows to understand the full impact of the events this year.

“It is going to be a huge weekend for Coventry and we hope the whole city gets behind it.”

In addition to Take That's performances, Coventry will also host Motofest in the city centre on 6th June.

This combination of large-scale events promises a bustling weekend in the city, drawing both fans and visitors alike.
