Coventry Blaze secured their place in the Challenge Cup Final, after a fine second-leg win beating the Belfast Giants 3-6 on the night and 5-9 on aggregate.
The hosts opened the scoring at 10.42 through Carsen Twarynski to make it 3-3 on aggregatate.
Coventry responded late in the period. with Matthew Gleason restoring Blaze’s one-goal aggregate advantage.
Gleason continued his impressive performance reacting quickest to a loose puck.
Jere Vertanen and Alessio Luciani both converted soon after to make it 1-4 on the night, with further scores later on, in the end Coventry left with the win.
They will face the Nottingham Panthers on Wednesday 18 March (7.30pm) at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham.
