Four people from Coventry and Warwickshire have been recognised in the King's Birthday Honours, receiving British Empire Medals (BEMs) for their dedication to supporting communities, improving public services and helping vulnerable people.

Among those honoured is Warwickshire nurse and campaigner Leanne Howlett, who has been recognised for services to health visiting.

For more than seven years, Leanne has worked to improve support for families affected by perinatal mental illness, helping to raise awareness and reduce stigma.

Leanne also established the Coventry and Warwickshire Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership and has influenced national policy through her work with health organisations and patient groups.

Rugby's Becki Coombe receives a BEM for services to the community in Coventry and Warwickshire.

Becki founded the Learn2 Education Centre in Coventry, supporting young people who have struggled in mainstream education.

Alongside her education work, Becki volunteers as a Community First Responder with West Midlands Ambulance Service, serves with Warwickshire Lowland Search and Rescue and sits as a magistrate.

Scott Caswell, from Warwickshire, has been honoured for services to policing and veterans. An Army Reservist and veterans' lead with Warwickshire Police, he has helped improve support for former military personnel coming into contact with the criminal justice system.

Scott's work has also contributed to Warwickshire Police receiving the Armed Forces Gold Covenant Award.

Also recognised is Christopher Henley, from Leamington Spa, who receives a BEM for services to the South Western Railway Network.

For more than a decade Christopher has served as a Railway Chaplain, providing emotional and practical support to railway staff and British Transport Police officers dealing with trauma, grief and major incidents.

Christopher also volunteers with the Railway Benevolent Fund, supporting railway workers and their families facing hardship.

The honours recognise the significant contribution all four recipients have made to improving lives both locally and nationally through years of dedicated service.
