County lines officers have seized over £115,000 and arrested three people following raids in Birmingham and Coventry.

The warrants were carried out at a number of addresses yesterday morning (17 July) as part of an investigation into serious and organised crime.

The cash was found alongside large amounts of heroin and cocaine.

One man, 54, and two women, aged 31 and 30, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. They all remain in police custody for questioning.

West Midlands Police said: "Our County Lines Taskforce is committed to disrupting the supply of drugs in the West Midlands and is relentlessly targeting those suspected of involvement in it.

"It's all part of Operation Target, our ongoing fight against serious and organised crime in the West Midlands.

"Officers work 24/7 to disrupt and arrest those involved in guns, drugs, money laundering and exploitation."
