A new boxing initiative in Warwickshire is aiming to give men a place to get active, meet others and switch off.

Noble Arts’ Boxing for Wellbeing launches at Cleary’s Boxing on Monday 14 September, following a 12-week pilot with Warwick-based men’s support group Mankind.

The sessions are open to men aged 18 and over, with no previous boxing experience with a focus being on boxing basics, fitness and building confidence in a relaxed environment.

Founder Kurt Canavan said: "I've learned that life can take you down roads you never expected. Sometimes you just need something positive to focus on, a reason to get out of the house and people around you who want to see you do well.

"That's what we're trying to build with Noble Arts. You don't need boxing experience, you don't need to be fit, and you certainly don't need to have your life all figured out. Just turn up. We'll do the rest together.

"Whether you're looking to build confidence, create better habits, improve your fitness or simply spend time around like-minded people, you'll be welcomed at your own pace."

Sessions will run every Monday from 8.30pm to 10pm and Friday from 7.30pm to 9pm at Cleary’s Boxing. The initiative is also open to referrals from charities, employers, recovery services, community groups and health professionals.
