Teenagers arrested after incident at Camborne shop
Two have been released on bail after a late-night disturbance
Devon and Cornwall Police responded to a late-night disturbance at a shop in Trelowarren Street, Camborne, involving youths and resulting in significant damage and assaults.
Police were called at around 11pm on Monday 3rd August, following reports of youths causing trouble in the area.
Upon arrival, officers witnessed a female suspect damaging a car. Inside the shop, two employees were reportedly assaulted, and a side door was kicked off its hinges.
Additionally, damage was caused to a nearby resident's door.
A spokesperson for the force told us: "We were called at around 11pm on Monday 3 August following a report of youths causing a disturbance at a shop in Trelowarren Street, Camborne.
"Officers attended and witnessed a female suspect damage a car.
"It was further reported that there had been an incident inside the store which resulted in two employees being assaulted and a side door being kicked off its hinges.
"A nearby resident’s door was also kicked and damaged.
"A 16-year-old boy from Camborne was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault.
"An 18-year-old woman from Camborne was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
"Both have been released on bail until 23 October pending further enquiries.
"A 14-year-old boy from Camborne was arrested on suspicion of drunk and disorderly but was de-arrested in custody.
"A 38-year-old woman from Camborne who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drunk and disorderly has been dealt with by way of a community resolution."
