The community of St Ives Bay is coming together to celebrate their success in stopping a chemical testing project in the ocean.

Three years ago, residents challenged and halted Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement experiments in their waters, becoming the world's first community to achieve such a feat.

On 19th April, locals will gather at Gwithian Beach's Godrevy end near the Red River for an event filled with speeches, music, and activities honouring their achievement.

Sue Sayer MBE will address the crowd, sharing insights into the diverse underwater ecosystem of St Ives Bay.

The celebration will feature a beach march accompanied by local drummers and a mass paddle along the shore, inviting families to join in.
