School mourns deaths of brothers after Cornwall crash
Tobias and Finley Rice have been remembered by their school community following the tragic incident
A school in Christchurch has paid tribute to two young brothers who died in a crash on the A30 in Cornwall at the end of May.
Priory CE Primary say Tobias and Finley Rice were "cherished members of their school family" and will be "immensely missed".
Tobias, who was eight, was pronounced dead at the scene - and five year old Finley died in hospital a few days later.
Simon Croutear, the Headteacher of Priory CE VA Primary School, said: "Our whole school community has been shocked and grieved by the tragic loss of Tobias and Finley.
"They were cherished members of our school family and will be immensely missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family who we are in touch with and are supporting in every way we can.
"We have also been ensuring that support is in place for other pupils, as well as staff, at the school."
Officers were called shortly before 11am on Friday 29 May following a collision involving multiple vehicles in the westbound carriageway of the A30 near Connor Downs.
Detective Inspector Andy Heath of Devon and Cornwall Police Serious Collisions Investigation Team said: “I am saddened to confirm that a second boy has passed away following Friday’s collision on the A30.
“It is important that the family are given the privacy needed at this difficult time and my thoughts remain with them and others affected by this tragic incident. Investigators continue to support the relatives while we secure the evidence required in this case.
