Saltash Town Council launches Waterside Safety Trial for summer holidays
Security officers to maintain safety and engage community along Waterside
Saltash Town Council is initiating a Waterside Safety Trial starting tomorrow, 31st July, featuring friendly City Security Officers patrolling the Waterside from Jubilee Pontoon to the Sailing Club.
This effort runs daily from 2pm to 10pm throughout the summer school holidays, reinforcing the council's dedication to fostering a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for residents and visitors.
Prompted by concerns over anti-social behaviour, the trial seeks to provide a positive, visible presence during the bustling summer period. Officers will focus on engaging with the community and offering assistance where needed, promoting responsible use of the area.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to greet the officers, who will be available to answer questions and collect feedback about the pontoon service and broader Waterside area. Your insights will contribute to shaping future improvements and initiatives.
The security team also facilitates day and overnight pontoon payments by card, streamlining services on behalf of the Town Council.
