Cornish Pirates have signed Australian back rower Rory Suttor ahead of next season.

The 26 year old has represented his country at schoolboy and under 20 level, playing for NSW Waratahs in his homeland, Munster A, UCC Rugby, and Lansdowne FC in Ireland, and for Centurioni Rugby in Italy.

Cornish Pirates coach Joe Walsh said:

“Rory is an experienced performer who has played the game in various environments and at a high level.

“In terms of ball carrying he can offer a big threat, plus being someone who has been highly regarded we think he will bring value and balance to our back five.

“We are really excited and looking forward to getting him on board.”

Rory Suttor said: "Absolutely stoked to be joining the Pirates next season, I can’t wait to get over to Cornwall and add as much as I can to the team. Keen for a really big year ahead at such a great club!”
