Police investigate serious collision on A30 in Bolventor
It happened on Friday
Police are appealing for witnesses and information, after a serious road traffic collision on the eastbound carriageway of the A30, near Colliford Lake, Bolventor.
Officers were called at around 11am on Friday 23 October, to reports of a two-vehicle collision, involving a white Mercedes heavy goods vehicle and a blue New Holland tractor, which was towing a trailer.
The driver of the tractor, a local man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and is in hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition. His next of kin are aware and being supported.
The lorry driver was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The road remained closed, while an examination of the scene was carried out and the vehicles were recovered. The road closure was handed over to highways at around 7.30pm.
Officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public, for their patience while the road was closed.
