Police operation targets those getting behind the wheel the morning after
The joint operation today centred on the Plymouth-Torpoint ferry
Devon & Cornwall Police have today been stopping drivers as they catch the Plymouth-Torpoint ferry.
It was part of a joint operation targeting those getting behind the wheel with drink or drugs in their system from the night before.
The force say it's something they will continue look to out for in patrols across the region.
Seargeant Owen Messenger said: “It does send a strong message as we want to be doing more of these operations – but ultimately we just want people to not drink or drug drive and to realise the dangers of driving the morning after whilst still under the influence.”
