Police appeal after theft and assault in Penzance

Police say the victim suffered a broken nose

Officers are asking for help from the pubic to identify two males (pictured) in connection with an assault and theft which took place in Penzance.

Police received reports on Thursday 10 August, that two people attended a Sports Direct store in on Market Jew Street and stole several items.

After leaving the store they attacked a member of staff in a park area nearby, causing severe injuries.

During the attack, the victim was punched and kicked in the face and ribs whilst on the floor.

The victim suffered a broken nose and had two front teeth chipped as a result.

Police have carried out house-to-house enquiries and trawled local CCTV footage in and around the area.

As part of enquiries, these images were also circulated to local policing teams in an attempt to identify the individuals pictured.

Police are now asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the males pictured as it is believed they may be able to help with enquiries.
