The Cornish Pirates' Champ Rugby game against Ampthill this Saturday (January 24) has been moved to Camborne Rugby Club.

It comes after part of their home ground at the Mennaye was damaged during Storm Goretti.

The Pirates said making the Mennaye safe for Saturday was now not possible after an assessment today (January 20) revealed the electrics are unsafe.

The RFU came to assess the damage on Friday (January 16) and the club have now been given permission to play at Camborne Rugby Club.

Special dispensation has also been given by the RFU to move kick off to 2pm on Saturday and to play without floodlights.
